Faye Toogood’s True Nature

Getting up close and personal with London’s rising star

When I first met Faye Toogood, she was already one of London’s leading interior stylists, working with such top-tier clients as Tom Dixon and fashion label Comme des Garçons. In 2011, she decided to launch her own brand starting with a family of refined furniture pieces that ranged from three-legged stools and tallboy cabinets made from sycamore to lights made of stone, all locally crafted. My profile on Toogood, on how she made the leap from stylist to furniture designer, became the designer’s first cover story.
