Toronto: A City on the Rise
On the 30th anniversary of Azure, we devoted an entire issue to the city where the magazine is created.
Toronto is undergoing its greatest period of densification, with condo developments rising at breakneck speed and an infrastructure scrambling to keep up. For this special issue, we examine the city where Azure was founded 30 years ago. The issue includes John Lorinc’s take on the reimagining of Union Station, and the birth of the Canary District, a new neighbourhood built on once toxic land near the water’s edge. Plus, five of the city’s best creators and innovators, including design studio MSDS (pictured).
